Anthony Murgio, a Florida man charged with operating an illegal bitcoin exchange owned by the ringleader of a group of hackers that are accused of stealing millions of dollars from major banks, pleaded not guilty to money laundering in a Manhattan court room Tuesday, according to Bloomberg. Murgio also pleaded not guilty to running an illegal bitcoin exchange, wire fraud and conspiracy. U.S. District Judge Alison Nathan set an Oct. 31 trial date for Murgio, who remains free on bond.
